		<description>Dear Wired Momma,

Underwriters Laboratories has joined local non-profit KaBOOM! to bring safe play spaces to children across the country.

We’re hosting an event on Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Two Rivers Charter School, 1227 4th Street NE in Washington, D.C., to launch a national competition. It will be held at 10:30 am and we’d love to have you attend.

By attending the event, you are eligible to win an Imagination Playground, which encourages child-directed, unstructured “free play,” for a neighborhood play area of your choice. Just fill out the attached form and attend the press briefing. The blogger winner will be announced at the press briefing.

At the event, you’ll see how much children love playing with an Imagination Playground.

If mid-day events don’t work for you, there’s still a way to enter the contest. Four other communities will win an Imagination Playground as part of a national contest that launches on the 16th. Parents enter the competition by visiting UL’s Safety at Home Web page (available after April 16) and identify a new play space or pledge support for an existing one.

Please let me know if you have questions and if you’re planning on coming to the event.

Sincerely,
Alison Risso
